It’s that time again

It’s our favorite time of year – when we can look forward to some warmer weather, more freetime and some recreation… Come roll with us.

Tonight at Ugly Bettie’s

Come hang with us tonight at Ugly Bettie’s tonight for Flying Spiders and the Staxx Brothers. 21+ and a $5 cover, 9 p.m. We’ve heard some great things about our guests from Seattle… Get a feel for this rock-soul-hip-hop outfit via their website.

Selling Out

That’s right, we sold out…
to a credit union propping up local musicians and the people that support it.

Boom Creative produced a series of four ads for Global Credit Union and asked The Flying Spiders to step in for some community branding.

It wasn’t your typical ad campaign, and Global let us twist their classic jingle around a bit to make it work for what we were both trying to say.

The Sexy Intelligent EP has landed

We are proud to release “The Sexy Intelligent EP” — our third EP in 13 months, completing the Villaging Trilogy EP series!

This third EP features performances by the 12-piece ensemble, plus guests.

For the EP release party, Spiders will be joined onstage by emcees C-Flow, Locke and Freetime Synthetic, plus the performance debut of Smiles Davis, a new group led by Spiders Music Director Sparky (Cameron LaPlante).

Download the EP at flyingspiders.bandcamp.com (the first 200 downloads are free, pick your price after that).

Flying Circus launches tonight!

Tonight Flying Spiders proudly presents our first annual Flying Circus, a benefit for the Village Experience with our ariel friends, Coeur D’Alene rockers Flying Mammals and the phenomenal Scott Pemberton Trio from Portland.

Along with the aural assault we’ll have an onslaught of sensory overload with sideshow attractions featuring belly dancing Naira Kai and the Bella Courbe troupe, The Paper Cutout Crew Breakers, Visual Vortex Spin Collective, comedienne Kickass Kass, and sidearm Bagdad Alamode.

The Flying Circus happens tonight, at 9 p.m. at Ugly Bettie’s Public House, 211 N. Division. Cover is $5.

Proceeds benefit Spokane children’s nonprofit, The Village Experience, which provides musical instruments, lessons and studio recording access to youths in need.
